Elaine Hinman-Sweeney is a Principal Member of the
Technical Staff in the Sandia National Laboratories Intelligent Systems
and Robotics Center (http://www.sandia.gov/isrc/). She has over 17
years experience in space flight systems and robotics, and has her
Bachelors and Masters degrees in Aerospace Engineering, and her Ph. D. in
Mechanical Engineering. She is an Associate Fellow of the American
Institute of Aerospace Engineers, and a past Chairwoman of the Robotics
International Advisory Board of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Dr. Hinman-Sweeney lives in Albuquerque with her husband, Lee Sweeney,
and their two cats. She enjoys SCUBA diving, kayaking, travel, and
science fiction.
