The LIA Science Honor Society Chapter in Nicaragua created a new after school program to promote the scientific field in the school’s community. The program consists of an open invitation for all students that wish to attend after school tutoring held by SNHS members. This is an initiative from the LIA SNHS chapter to encourage others to succeed in the scientific field.
On Monday, September 21, 2015 Westlake’s Science National Honor Society inducted new members in a ceremony that took place in the auditorium. SRHS Seahawks admitted and induced 17 members Spring of 2015, bringing our membership to 40 strong. This was our first ever formal induction ceremony. Since our chapter's inception in May 2013, the chapter has 46 alumni.

Grassfield High School created a new chapter this Spring. We inducted 65 students, elected officers, and are working on plans for full implementation of the chapter next year. Our members participated in a service project by creating informational posters about Lymphoma and by walking in a Laps for Lymphoma fundraiser sponsored by our SCA.
